About Parkrun Maps

Parkrun Maps is an independent, community-driven project with one simple goal: to map every parkrun course in the world with accurate route maps, elevation charts and course profile data.

Why this site exists

Every parkrunner has asked the same questions before visiting a new course. How hilly is it? Is it a good course for a PB? Where exactly is the start line? Official course pages tell you the route, but they rarely tell you what the course feels like to run.

Parkrun Maps fills that gap. For every mapped course you'll find the route on an interactive map, a full elevation chart, total ascent and descent, the longest climb and its gradient, the amount of measurable flat running, and precise start-line coordinates (including What3Words). You can also compare any two mapped courses side by side.

Where the data comes from

Course data is collected from three sources: parkruns run and recorded personally, GPS files submitted by other parkrunners, and public segments on Strava. Each course is processed to produce a consistent elevation profile and set of course metrics, so courses can be meaningfully compared with each other.

The project currently has complete data for 8.29% of tracked parkruns, and the collection grows as new courses are submitted. If you would like to contribute a course, you can submit your parkrun data here.

A note on accuracy

Elevation data is derived from consumer GPS devices, so small variations between devices and recordings are normal. Figures on this site should be treated as a good practical guide to a course's character rather than survey-grade measurements. Courses also change over time — if you spot something that looks wrong, please get in touch.
